Labial Reduction- (Labialplasty)- is an outpatient surgical procedure to revise and reshape the labia. Some women have redundant labial tissue ("Butterfly or Manta-Ray Labia") that interfers with their normal life. This Labial Beautification surgical procedure usually requires local anesthesia and can be accomplished as an outpatient. Recovery requires 1-2 weeks and most patients return to work in 1 day. Post operative pain is minimal and is controlled by mild pain medications.
